I think it’s here. NFTs are mainstream now.

This week wrapped up NFT.NYC, the largest conference in this space. There were 5000 attendees and thousands more in town for meetings, events, and parties with all the major players.

I’m not the only one who noticed:

Amazing energy and optimism in NY this week around NFTs and building the creator economy. Super exciting to see so many talented young people coming in to the crypto space with this new use case.

One incredible feeling from this week was that while NFTs are digital, these few days showed just how physical, human, and emotional the movement is.

In addition to meeting people IRL and forming stronger relationships, I went to my first NFT physical gallery and, oh man, it was incredible. I wanted to own everything. These pieces are so unique and different than traditional art. I felt like owning one would feel like a badge of honor.

Here are a few I liked. They all have some form of movement / animation that you wont see here.

Live video of the horse here.

It feels like the groundwork is laid and the next couple years are going to be an explosion of creativity and value and new entrants embracing NFTs and crypto.

Onward!
